Los Angeles Acupuncturist
I have pursued a life of art and music. After graduating from art college, I worked as a graphic designer in the Fashion Industry, and created editorial illustrations for various magazines. I also enjoyed a career as a professional bass player, recording and gigging with numerous LA rock bands, and as a multi-instrumentalist in an eclectic art ensemble with Radio Tokyo Studio engineer/producer, Ethan James.
My life has had many changes. After taking a class at Otis Parson’s in Entertainment Advertising Design, I began a successful new career as an Art Director, working at Disney and several ad agencies creating movie posters and other movie related advertising. You’ve probably seen many of the posters I have created.
In 1997, I was faced with a major health challenge, which was the beginning of my pursuit of alternative medicine. This was another turning point in my life. After recovering fully from Stage IV Breast Cancer, I returned to work. And it struck me – am I really here on this earth to make movie posters? I had a calling to enter a new art form – the healing arts.
Returning to school, I entered the Master’s Program at Samra University to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. A grueling 6 years later, after working crazy advertising hours and going to school simultaneously, I graduated, passed the board exam, and received my license as an acupuncturist. I immediately resigned from my agency job, and opened my clinic here in Larchmont Village. I am committed to helping others in their own healing journey to wellness through the art of traditional asian medicine and acupuncture.
