Acupuncture Imperative to Reducing Inflammation, Stress

stressReducing inflammation is crucial to not only physical comfort, but crucial to your long term health. Body pain causes not only short term discomfort and irritability, but also has a detrimental impact on long term health. Among the most crucial effects of inflammation is cancer.

Inflammation is a leading cause of cancer. Indirectly, this is because as cells are destroyed in a body locale, the area becomes raw and irritated. This increases white blood cell flow from the immune system to the area to stimulate healthy cell regeneration. This is the normal recovery process every single time you experience a bump, scrape or scratch.

But tumors develop using rogue cells from this recovery process as fuel, with oxygen and nutrients from its surroundings. The genetic faults from these tumors lure more and more immune cells, which lead to blood vessel. These provide the starved tumor the oxygen and nutrients it needs to metastasize. And cancer is born.

Irritation is the principle behind luring white blood cells from the immune system. This is fundamental to why alcoholics develop throat cancer and smokers develop lung cancer. Chronic inflammation seen with Chrohn’s disease and pancreatitis also contribute to cancer growth. So combating this inflammation is essential to avoiding cancer growth. Among the most proven means of combating inflammation is acupuncture.

Understanding how acupuncture reduces inflammation is understanding how dopamine works. Dopamine, a neurotransmitter which increases with reward brain activity, is associated with the release of basically feeling good. Its release fights of stress and speeds the volume of blood flow throughout the circulatory system, inhibiting cell growth. Fighting off stress also directly reduces cortisol, a steroid hormone released as the body’s physical response to stress.

Stress and responsive cortisol is truly a silent killer. It speeds the aging process and leads to numerous health issues. Keeping inflammation and stress at bay is very crucial to maintaining health and longevity. The dopamine released when undergoing such therapeutic measures as massages and acupuncture not only physically relaxes you, they combat stress and the ensuing aging process.
